Monkey Forest Road, in Oakland, California is a combination furniture store, art gallery, and coffee bar.

You will find beautifully designed furniture, extraordinary jewelry,
incredible artworks, and other unique accessories for the home. All items
are imported from Southeast Asia, mostly from Bali. In many cases we find
the best quality and most unique design by working with expatriate designers
who have learned to apply the eye for detail and perfection they learned in
the West with the meticulous craftsmanship and artistic sensibility of the
local workers.

Also at our store in Oakland you will find our own coffee bar. We serve
single origin coffees from estates in Indonesia and elsewhere in Asia, some
of which we import ourselves. Each cup is custom-brewed. Our roaster is n:1,
located near us in Oakland. Complementing the coffee are mouth-watering
muffins, scones and biscotti made in varieties consistent with seasonal availability
of ingredients.

The founders of Monkey Forest Road are Arnel Alcordo and Chris Cooper.
