Welcome to Monkey Forest Road - Café will be opening on Monday, December 5 at 7:00 a.m.Monkey Forest Road is the main street in Ubud, the cultural center of Bali, Indonesia. We have named our retail store in Oakland, California after this road because we love the style of the arts and crafts we find there, and also the kindness and openness of the Balinese people. We have brought many items which we find only in Bali back to the USA for the enjoyment of our customers. You will find beautifully designed furniture, extraordinary jewelry, incredible artworks, and other unique accessories for the home. All items are imported from Southeast Asia, mostly from Bali. In many cases we find the best quality and most unique design by working with expatriate designers who have learned to apply the eye for detail and perfection they learned in the West with the meticulous craftsmanship and artistic sensibility of the local workers.
